From the Southwestern Athletic Conference:
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The State Fair Classic between Prairie View A&M and Grambling State has been rescheduled and relocated amid the effects of the recent statewide winter weather crisis.
The contest, initially set as the teams’ season opener, will now take place March 13 at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. Kick-off is set for 3 p.m.
Event organizers in conjunction with participating schools made the prudent decision to move the contest from Dallas’ Cotton Bowl as time was needed to assess damage to the facility and ensure it was in suitable condition to host events following the last week’s weather events.
Will Call will not be available for this year’s event, and fan attendance will be limited to 25,000 in compliance with social distancing standards. Face coverings will be mandated for fans at all times unless actively eating or drinking, and SWAC COVID-19 standards will be in place for the State Fair Classic Football game.
